ANDREW ZAWACKI

Prism Sonnet

Claret flower, coal flower,
Blossom that opens at night
Fall, a yellow
To follow
                the floral of the sun

its petals lacquered in bright angel shale
A satellite bloom the
Only blinking
                thing : albino retina, isabelline,
                the planet is a smoke

                hive—Lalique
                                        crystal vase with a crack—
& Love the lack of any

Lack, that if     expended

                           expands
